Georgies Lowfire Clays (Cone 06-1)
Lowfire clays, also called earthenware clays, are rarely taken to higher temperatures than cone 04 (about 1940 Fahrenheit). These sample pictures show the clay colors after oxidation firing in an electric kiln. They're easy to work with, easy to fire, and offer the widest range of glaze color possibilities for decoration. Lowfire clays must be glazed with foodsafe glazes, and the glazes fired to their proper maturity, to make foodsafe ware.

| (no photo available) | CC601 Modeling Clays are blends of varying ingredients. Colors and textures may vary from batch to batch. Works well for "utility" projects where the clay is expendable, kids "playtime" projects, or other uses when the budget counts. Recommended for firing at no higher temperature than cone 04. Modeling clays are not always in stock: please call for current availability. |

Color samples on these webpages are for representation only due to limits of electronic color reproduction. Your firing results may vary due to firing conditions, application techniques, and interactions with your clay body. Georgies always recommends testing new products for suitability for your application before committing to their use. Our glazes are net-priced: there are no 'standard' discounts off these prices. You'll find, however, that our net prices are competitive with other manufacturers' prices *after* their 'standard' discounts. We'd rather keep it simple and friendly. Please note that catalog and brochure prices are subject to change without notice, depending on freight, vendor or material costs. We try to keep price increases to an absolute minimum, but they are sometimes unavoidable. Feel free to call or email us for current price updates.
