will work on bisque tile and explore some fun decorative
techniques that are easy and successful. Tiles can become
a mural, a colorful tabletop, or simple trivets that
make inexpensive yet personal gifts. Don't forget to
bring your design ideas!

Make-&-Take classes at our PORTLAND
store! There's no need to call ahead or sign up: just come in and
join us for fun, easy techniques for your home, studio, or classroom.
Georgies will supply the class time, clay or bisque, and glaze or
color products. (Please note: firings are NOT included, but available
at Georgies for a reasonable fee.)

Arts Festival Seeks Artists
The
Silverton Fine Arts Festival will be held on August
15-16, 2009. The festival organizers are currently seeking
artists interested in showing and selling their work! Applications
are available at the website below, and MUST BE POSTMARKED
BY MARCH 31.

The
young artists of Innerscape Art Center are having their
very first gallery showing! Innerscape helps students
of all ages (from 4 to adult) explore various art media,
including ceramics. Come see the show and welcome these
new young artists!

at Innerscape explore Drawing, Painting, Printmaking,
Sculpture, Weaving, Puppetry and Book arts. Materials
available include acrylic paints, gouache, tempera,
watercolor, pencil, pen-&-ink, chalk pastel, oil
pastel, charcoal, clay, wood and wire -- and these are
just a few of the mediums available to students.
"Within
the regular class time students work on individualized
curricula based on their chosen areas of focus. In addition
to these projects, portions of each class are devoted
to exercise that develop informed foundations of basic
visual elements to explore and expand."
