Coming to Georgies: Porcelain Paper & Porcelain Canvas
These are no ordinary porcelain tiles: they are actually 97% alumina, and they're the tiles created to protect the space shuttle. They are thin, translucent, and have the ability to fire at any temperature. They may be refired, and they don't need any pampering in the firing process. They actually like going up to temperature as fast as possible! You can use enamels, low-fire products of any kind, mid-range glazes, high-fire glazes, oxidation or reduction -- even raku!

The other exciting new product is KERAFLEX, also known as Porcelain Paper. Keraflex is a cone 10 porcelain paper, sold in sheets that may be folded, cut, sculpted, ruffled, or added on to a work in progress. It becomes flexible when you wet it in water for 10-20 secons. There is an accompanying product, KERAFLEX SLURRY, to be used for attachments (and presumably as a slip). When it's dry it will be very fragile. It's recommended to single fire to cone 10. This product also will be translucent.
