Amaco Inks (Cone 05-6)

AMACO Ceramic Printing Inks are printmaking inks designed for use on ceramics - great for screenprinting, craft foam printing, and monoprinting!
A thin application yields best results. Fire to cone 05-6. Made from the Velvet formula we know and love, but in a thicker paste. Available in 8oz only.

• Saturated Color
• Apply to unfired clay (greenware) or bisque
• Thin with distilled water only when necessary, it should be a thick paste
• Can be used with a clear glaze (glossy) or without (matte)
• Food Safe with clear glaze applied over inks (this will intensify the color)
• Mix colors to create your own color palette!

Deep Yellow Matte
A rich ochre color that is very rich at cone 05 and is intense under a clear glaze. At cone 5, it is less saturated and becomes muted and darker at cone 10. Too thick of an application of the ink may result in a glossy finish.

Medium Blue Matte
A brilliant primary blue that is vivid at cone 05, darker at cone 5, maintaining its blue color. A clear glaze over Medium Blue will significantly darken the color. Too thick of an application of the ink may result in a glossy finish.

Turquoise Matte
A blue green color that is cyan at cone 05, becomes deeper cone 5, and becomes very dark at cone 10. This ink maintains its color well under a clear glaze. Too thick of an application of the ink may result in a glossy finish.

White Matte
A snow white color that is bright at cone 05, softens at cone 5, and becomes slight warmer, but maintains a clean white color, at cone 10. A clear glaze accentuates this ink. Too thick of an application of the ink may result in a glossy finish.

Jet Black Matte
A cool black color that is smooth and velvety at cone 05, darkens at cone 5, and becomes darkest black and slightly glossy at cone 10. A clear glaze deepens and accentuates this ink. Too thick of an application of the ink may result in a glossy finish.

Hunter Green Matte
An emerald color that is vivid at cone 05, darkens to a deep blue-green at cone 5, and becomes slightly darker and develops a sheen at cone 10. This ink maintains its color well under a clear glaze. Too thick of an application of the ink may result in a glossy finish.

Bright Red Matte
A deep crimson color that is vivid at cone 05, darkens slightly at cone 5, and becomes a deep cherry red at cone 10. A clear glaze deepens the color. Too thick of an application of the ink may result in a glossy finish.

Bright Orange Matte
A tangerine color that is neon at cone 05, darkens slightly at cone 5 and becomes a deep pumpkin at cone 10. A clear glaze accentuates the final, fired color. Too thick of an application of the ink may result in a glossy finish.
