Chavant Fine Art Sculpting Clay, (aka Plasteline) is suitable for students (at all levels) and professionals that create fine art, special effects, or product design work using armatures. 2lb blocks are individually wrapped and can be purchased individually or in cases of 20. Contour Clay (an updated variation of Monu-Melt clay) is a precision sculpting medium that holds exceptional detail. The warm gray color helps facilitate viewing profile lines and surface textures. Sold in 2lb blocks. |

Sulfur-free. Best used at room temperature (72°F/23°C). Due to its higher temperature resistance, it resists deformation when working in warmer studio environments. A buttery-smooth consistency and silicone friendly for moldmaking. Warmed clay is easily spread or trowled onto carved EPS foam and mixed material armatures. |

This gray, self-hardening modeling clay is prepared in moist form, ready to use for all methods of modeling, including wheel throwing and sculpting. Knead Marblex to increase plasticity before modeling. Allow the finished pieces to dry slowly and evenly on all sides at room temperature, and away from heat, until hard. When completely dry, finished pieces are durable but not waterproof. After decorating, it is a good idea to coat with shellac or varnish to seal it and make it water-resistant. |
