Orders reach us in about 7-10 days after we place our order. Processing and shipping your individual order may take 5-7 more business days. |
Lead-time for orders may run up to 4 to 6 weeks if we do not have enough to fill a truck. Please plan ahead with this lead time for your school or studio needs.
B-Mix 10 (LAB)

A premier, cream-white, throwing clay that is easy to throw and form. Smooth porcelain texture. Fires gray/white in reduction and lighter in oxidation. It is similar to porcelain but it throws like a dream. Shrinkage 13% (±2%), Water Absorption 1% (±1%)

Big White (LA381)

A grey/white clay with large throwing properties. 60 mesh sand and 30 to 60 mesh grog allow for Strength. Fires grey in reduction and light buff/white in oxidation. Also excellent for raku. Shrinkage 10% (±2%), Water Absorption 2.7% (±1%)

An excellent, very fluid throwing clay, extremely popular for throwing open forms from small to large. Brownish-pink in its raw form, light brown in reduction and buff in oxidation. The formula includes iron and 60 mesh sand. Shrinkage 12% (±2%), Water Absorption 1% (±1%)

An interesting light gray body with fine sand (slightly coarse). A Cone 10 (and higher) clay which fires off-white in oxidation and gray/white in reduction. Also good for Raku at low temperature. Care should be taken at high fire use in functional ware. Slightly open body even at Cone 10. 10% (± 2%) shrinkage, 2.6% (±1%) water absorption

Rod's Bod (LA823)

Gray in the raw form with a medium sand texture. A popular body for general purpose use. Large and thick-walled pieces are prone to cracking. In light to medium reduction, fires to a warm brown with iron specks which generally bleed into glazes forming brown specks. Shrinkage 13.5% ±(2%), Water Absorption 2.4% ±1%)

Soldate 60 (LAS60)

This clay is the same formula as Soldate-30, but contains finer 60 mesh sand. The texture is medium coarse. Gray in the raw form with a high sand content which makes it ideal for large thrown pieces and sculptural forms.
